Located in the heart of the old city, by Via Giulia, Piazza della Chiesa Nuova and Via dei Banchi Vecchi, this flat can accommodate up to 3 people and it boasts not only a cozy terrace that can be used for your meals al fresco or to relax at the end of your Roman days: it also features a 360 degrees view on central Rome, including the Garibaldi statue on the Janiculum Hill on the other side of the River Tiber and the domes and medieval rooftops of the old city!
Placed at the fifth floor of a 16th century building, an elevator will take you up to the fourth floor, after which the entrance to the actual apartment will be at the end of a 16 steps set of stairs.
This two-rooms, one bedroom accommodation belongs to a book lover, so what you’re going to notice right away is the wooden bespoke bookcase, which contrasts and complements with the classic pieces of furniture scattered throughout this space, which has plenty of natural light.
The bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom with a larger (for Italian standards!) shower and plenty of closet space, features a French bed.
In the living room, where a small dining table can be found, the comfortable sofa turns into a double bed, also a French bed, size-wise.
Both rooms have A/C units and a Wi-Fi connection is provided free of charge to all guests. A TV set and a washing machine are also available.
The kitchen, although tiny, comes fully-equipped with all you may need to prepare your meals from scratch, thanks to its stove and gas-fired oven. Coffee lovers will be delighted to find both an American coffee machine as well as a Nespresso.
The real star of this accommodation is the terrace – a space that is at the same time private and in the open, and is a real extra space that can be enjoyed for the most part of the year, thanks to Rome’s extremely mild climate even in the fall.
Immediately downstairs from the apartment guests will be able to shop for essentials at two different, nearby, supermarkets. Cafes, wine bars, bakeries, different kinds of restaurants (from fine dining to more “mom-and-pop” establishments) are in the immediate area, as well as lovely shops ranging from clothing to… tea and coffee!
